The project of branch of national research UNIVERSITY "MPEI" in Smolensk "the Road to the temple: the revival of traditions of Orthodox power" was presented in Moscow at the XXVII International Christmas educational readings "Youth: freedom and responsibility". In the framework of the readings in the conference hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior January 29, 2019 hosted the presentation of successful projects "Youth initiatives and practices of the competition "Orthodox initiative". Of the more than three and a half thousand projects-winners 2017-2018 for the presentation in the capital were invited to 12, including the project of branch of national research UNIVERSITY "MPEI" in Smolensk. The project aimed at the revival of the Russian traditions, the formation of national identity, spiritual and moral education of students, represented by the delegation head. the Department of Humanities N.P. Starodubcevas, associate Professor of the Department of technological machinery and equipment M. G. Kulikova and students groups of TM-18 K. S. Maslova. Moderator Lyubov Glebova (Executive Director of the coordinating Committee for the promotion of social, educational, informational, cultural and other initiatives under the auspices of the Russian Orthodox Church, first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Regulations and parliamentary activities) gave a high rating to the project branch. She stressed that the main objective of the competition "Orthodox initiative" is to support civil initiatives in society, encouraging creative people to practical creative efforts for the benefit of others, for the preservation and strengthening of cultural and moral traditions. And implementation of the project of branch of national research UNIVERSITY "MPEI" in Smolensk was an excellent example of constructive cooperation between the Church and higher education institution in such activities.
