Scientific work of the Department
The main scientific directions carried out at the Department of EES are:
No. 1: Development of methods and criteria-based programming for integrated optimization of structures and parameters of power systems in different economic conditions.
The developed methods are based using a criteria-based programming for complex optimization of modes of electrical networks with respect to the operating and system parameters in the conditions of the new stage of reforms and economic relations. In the course of scientific research it appears possible to solve the following problem, which can be considered as independent topics of research:
- Minimization of active power losses for networks of different voltages.
- Optimization of network reactive power.
- Development of expert system of decision-making operational management of the flows of electricity.
- The feasibility of the models of elements of electric power system.
- Assessment of reliability of electrical networks of different voltage classes.
- Development of methods of structure optimization of the active-adaptive networks in normal, emergency, disaster modes and the analysis of their techno-economic efficiency.
- Evaluation norms of technical losses and errors.
- The selection of priority areas for implementation of established and tested technical means.
No. 2: Develop theoretical and practical recommendations for automation of operation modes of electrical networks.
- The use of new element base emerytalnych current transformers and voltage for relay protection and automation.
- Development and improvement of methods and ways of defining the injury and location of accidents in cables and overhead lines of various voltage class.
- Testing and diagnostics of devices of relay protection and automation.
- Development of new methods and approaches to the transfer and processing of information in measuring systems.
No. 3: Development of methodical recommendations on creation of technical data sheets of the measuring complexes of electric power metering.
- The review of regulatory documentation, including electricity and uncertainty assessment of measurement systems.
- Analysis of the model schemes and technical documentation of measuring complexes of electric power metering systems used in distribution networks.
- Designing the structure and volume of technical documentation for the metering of electrical energy.
- Development of methodical recommendations on creation of technical data sheets of the measuring complexes of electric power metering.
- Development of methodical recommendations on the methods of assessing the actual measuring errors of the complex in real conditions.
No. 4: Development of methodological recommendations on evaluation of real measuring errors of the range of electricity metering systems.
- The formation of errors of measuring complexes of electric power metering systems
- Methods of evaluation of measuring errors of the range of electricity metering systems.
- Development of methodical recommendations on the estimation of errors of measurement in complex environments.
- Technical documentation (passport) measuring complex and recommendations for its content.
On this topic in 2013, postgraduate education, made a number of works for the network and electricity generating enterprises of the Smolensk region, conducted research and defended master's thesis students of the Department.
