The students of our University will participate in the finals of the international Olympiad in information technology "IT-planet 2015/16"!

In this academic year students of the branch of the "National research University "MPEI" in Smolensk took part in the qualifying stages of the international Olympiad in information technology "IT-planet 2015/16", in which the competitions for the most advanced areas of the ICT industry. The organizers of the contests are such large international companies as Intel, Oracle, 1C, Cisco, D-Link, Huawei, InterSystems, ATConsulting, SKB Kontur, GNU/Linuxcenter.

In total in the qualifying stages they test their strength more than 14,000 students and young graduates from 14 countries. The experts were specialists of the companies-organizers, as well as employees of Federal and regional specialized companies and institutions: 1C-Gandalf, Apps4all, Morisot, TrinityDigital, MST,Techart, CreativePeople, TIMEr, Dalee, ArtWell, WOW hispan.

Students of branch of the "National research University "MPEI" in Smolensk have shown good results in the qualifying stages of the Olympiad "IT-planet 2015/16":

– master profile "Industrial electronics" Zubarev Svyatoslav (PE-15 MAG) took 1st place overall in the competition "Robophobia", nomination "the Sketch";

– master profile "Industrial electronics" Osipov, Denis (PE-15 MAG) took 5th place overall in the competition "Robophobia", nomination "the Sketch";

Now they have to defend the honor of the University at the international final which will be held from 27 to 30 may in Ekaterinburg at the Ural Federal University. the first President B. N. Yeltsin.

The participants of the final will be about 300 young it professionals under the age of 26 years from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia and Kazakhstan who showed the best results in the qualifying stages in the categories "Programming", "Databases", "Telecom", "Mobile platform", "Digital art", "Free software and robotics" and "Automated information systems".

In addition to the competition, finalists will be offered an intense training program: workshops, training seminars, lectures from experts in the it field and personal communication with partners of the Olympics – major employers and representatives of the vendors. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy the sights of the largest cultural and scientific-educational center of the Ural region.
