The second Spring ball
24 April in the Auditorium of MPEI branch in Smolensk hosted the Second annual Spring ball - a memorable event that brings with it the opportunity to plunge into the atmosphere of ballroom dance and to be charged a huge amount of positive emotions!
As the saying goes, everything new is well forgotten old. And all the good will become a good tradition. Last year for the first time in the University held a Spring ball and was a real discovery. The overwhelmingly positive feedback received by the organisers of the ball and to the University administration. The beginning of a good tradition was started!
This year the number of participants has increased significantly: the event was attended by over 50 boys and girls.
By tradition, the ball began with a stately Polonaise: rather walk than dance. Entered the hall at the same time 30 couples participating, and performed the virtuosic and mesmerizing dance procession.
Girls in long ball gowns, young men in suits or tuxedos. A distinctive feature of the Second bale was that all participants were covered with masks: this year was not just a ball, and a masquerade ball.
Then followed the most beloved and most beautiful dance – waltz! Couples swirled under the rapid rhythms: one-two-three, one-two-three, one-two-three...
Surprise for the guests and participants was the demonstration room of the passionate, defiant, bright tango.
The second branch consisted of the so-called "contredanses" and "social" dance, consisting of simple repetitive movements and involving, as a rule, "exchange partners".
At the end of the evening the guests of the ball had to choose the most mysterious cavalier and the mysterious lady: a vote was held for the best mask. The winners received sweet prizes.
Songs, live music, ball games and fun and of course, stunning dancing, and a sincere fun – all at these court balls, – have created a unique magical atmosphere and gave a little tale for each one present.
Preparations for the Second Spring ball took over two months and demanded a lot of time and energy. The educational Council is grateful for the preparation, organization and implementation of the "Spring fling":

P. S. After the ball in the mail branch received a letter, which we with the permission of the authors posted on the site:
"My husband and I go to the ball. However, as guests. Familiar room. 40 years ago, being a student of energy experts, was spinning in a waltz here, and now... Everything is dress down, dress coats, masks. Wings the mayflies fly to the hands of girls. They circle bright butterflies: pink, white, yellow, and our daughter blue. Fun, crafty looks, flirtatiousness. Music "ringleader"! Sorry, I'm not in a ball gown! Light on the soul – she exults, eyes feasting. How many happiness here!
Parents are Elina (girl 16)
Leonov Valentina, Leonov, Valery".
