The Russian team played in all formats and was able to show a decent game. A student of Andrey Utkin played a great series of games and ended up in число16 best players in the world (everyone who was in range from 9 to 16 have an equal number of points and, in fact, share 9th place). Andrew showed at the moment the best result for all time of performances of Russian national team players in European and world Championships.
In the championship Andrew met with renowned professionals, a player of the national team of Belgium Charles Weibel and French national team player Henry Lacroix (held the championship he became world champion in the format single).
For the national team of Russia and, in particular, playing Andrew with curiosity and surprise observed the audience, supported and worried, wondering what Russia has shown a decent level of play and this young man shows a great game and competing with world stars.
After the tournament, Andrew was invited by the coach of the female national team of France Jean-Philippe Soricotti to France to train and play together (in France there are over 300 thousand of pétanque players).
