The results of the third annual chess tournament of MPEI branch in Smolensk

On 27 October, the branch hosted the third annual chess tournament among boys and girls of 1-5 years.

The main judge of the competition was special guest, international master, winner of the world Olympics in Greece among people with disabilities in the national team of Russia, Vice-champion of Europe in 2007, the world chess champion in 2010, the champion of the World games of the visually impaired in Turkey 2011, Olympic champion among the visually impaired, multiple champion of Russia, honored coach Bags Yury Alekseevich.

The competition was attended by all the strongest chess players of our Institute, among which the winner of the championship of Europe on Russian chess Vladislav Manykin, master of the international Federation Elena Pirojnikova, member of team in tournament schools Karpov, winner of the FIDE rating 1857 Eugene Lenchenkov, the participant of superiority of the Central Federal district of the Russian Federation, winner of the FIDE 1908 Alexey Simnow, the winner of the city tournament among boys Russian chess Ilya Starovoitov, the silver prize-winner of tournament of memory of V. M. Pleskachevsky Dmitry Gundorov, the bronze prize-winner of superiority of Russia Russian chess Julia Bondarenko.

The tournament was held in 5 rounds with time control 10 minutes 5 seconds, during which the winner was determined among girls and boys. Until the last moment it was unclear who will take the podium: the battle for the medals was very intense.

In the final and decisive game of the tournament was found Manykin, Vladislav and Alexey Simnow. Victory and first place went to Vladislav. The second outcomes of the meeting Alexey Simnow, the third place was for Jevgenijs Incurriculum.

Among girls was the absolute leader of Elena Pirojnikova, second was Yulia Bondarenko, third place went to Anna Miheevsky.

All the participants were awarded with diplomas, medals and memorable prizes.
